Local Propane Service

Independent Propane Service is a locally owned, family-run business dedicated to providing exceptional service to the loyal customers of San Luis Obispo and southern Monterey counties. Owner, Ryan Lindberg, began his career in the propane industry in 1997, working alongside his father, Scott Lindberg, at Central Coast Propane. Starting in the yard grinding tanks, Ryan gained hands-on experience in every aspect of the business- service, delivery, and sales- eventually rising to manage the company. He has proudly served the Central Coast communities for more than 25 years.

After his father's company was acquired by a corporation, Ryan recognized the need to bring back a truly local, independent approach. In January 2025, Ryan and his wife Kari opened Independent Propane Service, rooted in their deep ties to the Central Coast. As lifelong locals, they are dedicated to providing honest, reliable, and friendly service to homes, businesses, and farms throughout the region.
